Dear Ms. Johnson,
I hope this message finds you well. Thank you for your continued trust in Dr. Truppe and his team as we work together on your oral health journey.
Based on your medical history, it is clear that you have taken significant steps towards improving your dental health. You had your teeth cleaned six months ago, which is crucial in maintaining oral hygiene. Recently, you have expressed interest in dental implants following the loss of several teeth. A 3D DVT was taken in 2021 to help us plan your treatment.
Initially, a bone augmentation procedure was conducted in March 2022 to increase the bone height in the area of your left lower molar. This included the use of two tent screws positioned at 35 and 36, with a height of 5 mm. Unfortunately, the material used for bone augmentation was lost due to the splitting open of the gum tissue. The tent screws were then removed in July 2022.
Despite this, we continued to explore solutions to address your dental needs. In October 2022, we opted for the use of two ultra-short implants, which were positioned in the regions 35 and 36. These are BICON implants, measuring 4,5mm x 5 mm. A follow-up 3D Dental Volumetric Tomography scan confirmed the precise placement of the dental implants. You experienced no sensory issues following the surgical procedure, indicating successful implantation.
The advantage of ultrashort Bicon implants is their ability to effectively utilize available bone, even when it’s limited. Their unique locking taper design creates a bacterially-sealed connection, reducing the risk of infection. They are also cost-effective and less invasive, offering enhanced patient comfort and a faster recovery time. The Bicon’s unique platelet design supports natural bone maintenance and remodeling, ensuring a more aesthetic outcome.
Now that the implants have been successfully placed, it’s crucial to follow our detailed post-operative instructions to ensure the best healing and recovery process. These include home care after the implant surgery, protecting the surgical site(s), careful rinsing, taking care of your teeth, managing swelling or bruising, handling pain and diet, and maintaining your implants.
Please remember that good daily and weekly hygiene habits are essential in taking care of your dental implants. This includes brushing, flossing, and using a Waterpik Water Flosser with Interdental Brush Heads.
Lastly, I want to remind you of the importance of staying vigilant for any unusual symptoms. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, including extreme swelling, fever, severe nausea, or vomiting, please contact our office at +43 1 4089500.
We understand that the process may seem overwhelming, but rest assured, Dr. Truppe and his team are here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to provide the care and guidance you need.
Looking forward to your next appointment. Please take care.
Best regards,
Linda Lee Beighle
